Some friends over for the afternoon coloring (among other things....)For dinner we went to Red Robin. Owen wanted to have the people sing to him. Here he is starting to open his gifts. Spencer gave him a transformer.

Mom gave him baby boy and blankie back from time out. (His two most favorite possesions)

The family gave him "de Blob" Wii game. With it came this t-shirt. Fun Fun!!

This weekend grandma and grandpa are coming for a visit. That will be the real birthday party. We are going to RideMakerz for his birthday. We went a few weeks ago to a friends birthday party and my kids went nuts. This was so much fun. They have not stopped talking about it since. It is sort of like build a bear but you make a truck or car instead of a teddy bear.

I did some family research when I posted about my grandmother. I found out that she is the baby of her family too so that makes me the Baby Baby Baby and Owen is the Baby Baby Baby Baby because he is the youngest in his family. He is also my parents last grandchild. Number 14

This is my grandmother Gertrude, my father's mother to whom I am named after. She went by Gert. Her birthday is March 17, 1898. Yes, my grandmother was born in the 1800's. My dad is the youngest of 5 and I am the youngest of 8. So that makes me the Baby Baby. She had 26 grandchildren and I was her last one.

G-Good Friend. I like to have a lot of friends.

E-Entertain. I like to have people over and have fun.

R-Resale. I love to go to resale shops and pilfer through old junk.

T-Toes. I love love love baby toes.

R-Read. I like to read fiction with happy endings. Life is too real right now so I need happy stories.

U-Unfortunate. Only that I was never able to meet this woman. She died before my dad had any children. I heard she made great pies.

D-Devoted. To my family and friends and to my love of making things.

E-Elated that I was able to complete this. It was really hard to do.

Hi. I just wanted to share with you what is currently on my screen saver.

Every time I turn on my computer I see this and it makes me smile. I took this when I went on hike with my family about a month ago. I need to go again and get some of the beautiful fall foliage. It is BEAUTIFUL up here....until the gray sets in.

My camera broke down a couple of days ago. I took it in to get it fixed.......21 days until I get it back? I told the "geek" how was I supposed to run a business or blog without my camera? His advice was to buy a back up. Like they are just a couple of bucks. Thank goodness for sisters that will lend you their camera. I will be back in business tomorrow with some baggy goodness for you. 7 to be exact. Hopefully tomorrow I will even add 2 more to pile. I want to do an overnight one because I am going to Chicago on a big girls trip. I am going to Style Maxx. It is merchandise mart. I am not sure exactly what it entails......but I will fill you in on that on Monday. All righty.....its late. Good night!!

What can happen in a week? A lot!!

I want to share with you one of the most beautiful sites of my week. Here is my friend Tina bringing me food for dinner.

We belong to a cooking club where we each take a night to cook for the other families and then the other nights we sit back a wait for our food to be delivered.

This has changed my life. My grocery bills have gone down, we are saving fuel from only firing up one oven and we are developing wonderful relationships.

We just had our carpets cleaned. Oh how I love when the carpets are cleaned.

We had the carpets cleaned yesterday but we wanted to give it a full 35 hours (and counting) before we put the furniture back.

I have been trying to get bags done like a crazy lady but things keep coming up.


I had a Jewelry party on Friday. I invited about 40 women to come and only 4 showed up. Yikes. I have never in my life had that kind of a turn out. I guess my lessons learned are

one, dont have your party on the first Friday of the month because people might not turn their calendar over before your party,

two send out more reminders, and

three, only have parties that you are willing to sell sell sell the product!!!! I am not much of a fashion jewelry type of person. I would much rather have the diamonds and gold thank you!! (I am also allergic to most metals) However, this was not all bad. The four ladies that did make it, we all had a wonderful time and the Jewelry Lady did not do too bad either. Thanks ladies for a wonderful party and the after party party.......smile.

The last thing to share with you is that I have given up Diet Coke!!! The real reason for the dragging this week I think. This has been very difficult for me because I am seriously addicted to it. I have been feeling really bad for the last three and over those years it has gotten progessively worse. And my diet coke addiction started about 3 years ago..so.... My sister sent me this email telling me how bad diet coke is for you and how they have linked it to so many joint issues such as, MS, Lupis, and Fibromyalgia. I have been having many of those symptoms of fibromyalgia. We will see how it goes. If anyone wants to get on the wagon with me let me know.

They are all cut out, I am just waiting for the final ok.

I love this bag's pocket on the front. It was part of the sweater. So I will be looking for more of these sweaters. This one may get an eye added, I am not sure.

You may laugh at me for this one, but I actually made this bag for Amy Butler, even though I have never met her. I just really like her stuff. This might be going into the shop at SoBo Style and it has her fabric in it, unless there is someone out there that contacts me to get it first. I dont know if she will ever own it, but I was thinking of her having it when I made it. So Amy, if you are out there seeing this and would like it, let me know.
I absolutely LOVE her fabrics. This is a big bag. When my honey gets home I will have him take a picture of me holding the bag. This is the fabric on the inside of both of these bags.

Chocolate anyone? I love these bags........they are for 8 bridesmaids. Each one of them have different jewelry. So I put pearls on to match them.

They each have different pearls on them. I really think the pearls make the bag. I had to hand stitch each one on. It was worth it though. I hope Amie loves them. Thanks Amie. I hope to have a picture of you and all your girls holding the bags.

This is what her dress looks like except the ribbon is cranberry like on the bags. The pictures of the bags makes them look more bronze, they are not. It is more of a beautiful chocolate brown.
